Call Me By Your Name is an idealistic reaching-adulthood movie about the passionate relationship between Elio Perlman played by Timothee Chalamet, a 17-year-old teenager living in Italy, and an American assistant to his father, this assistant is named Oliver played by Armie Hammer. Elio Perlman is an American-Italian-Jewish boy who resides in rural Italy with his parents. Elio Perlman’s dad who is a professor of archaeology invites an American-Jewish graduate student, Oliver, to live with his family during the 1983 holiday season and assist with his academic research work. Elio is a thoughtful religious and musical genius has very little in common with Oliver who is happy-go-lucky and enthusiastic character that is very different to his own character. Elio also begrudges giving up his bedroom for the duration of Oliver’s stay in their house. Elio devotes his time during the summer reading books and socializing with his girlfriend, Marzia, whereas Oliver is involved with one of the resident girls… Call Me By Your Name is scripted by James Ivory from the book by Andre Aciman, and directed by Luca Guadagnino.
